But what do you mean exactly, MW? Do you mean, people are afraid of your work? Of what you're doing there?
no, it has nothing to do with me.
we have issues with the mental work enviroment which have resulted in that a lot of people have quit. now we have got an external consultant to helps us do something about the problems. we just had a meeting with him, without the boss present and it just accured to me how much fear that was in the room. people felt so unsafe about the idea of having to tell how they felt at work, even thought it was anonymous. one problem is have we are few people with very specialiazed/individual work-description so staying complete anonymous can be quite difficult.
Do not ever trust a consultant the company hires. If it is a psychiatrist (he has a license to worry about) yes but just a consultant no. Their one and ONLY job is to spy on employees, make ridiculous recommendations to the company and GET PAID! Trust me! I've dealt with consultants for 22 years. Their job is to weed out the weak!
I don't want to come off all weak. And I just like to think of myself as clever and intelligent enough. That's why I don't likeasking for help. I'm a stubborn one.
(No, I have not just 'popped a sprog', I've started staying with my brother and his family when I go Oop Norf to visit my Dad.)
It's chaos-in-motion. The dog is hiding under the table. I might have to join him. If you could find a way to wire up kids to a dynamo, you could power a small county.
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
