English football media is bizarre, Alexander Arnold merits 7/10 or 8/10 in most of the reviews, and they all give the same reason - because he scored from a free kick and one review saying, "he deserves to play just for his dead ball prowess", comical. So what? He was picked as a defender, he was dreadful as a defender, he is not an international defender!! And Cole Palmer, the latest media darling, he rated 5/10 or 6/10, but, most of the reports blamed Kyle Walker for this, he didn't help Palmer, didn't pass down the line etc etc etc .... but this is the same Kyle Walker Saka has played most of his England career with, not one person ever used Kyle Walker as an excuse when Saka had a bad game, Palmer also did nothing against Greece, he had England's best chance of the game and stuck it in Row Z . I'd love to see a report that said - Alexander Arnold 2/10 he can't defend but can take free kicks, let's change the rules so he can come on for free kicks only. Cole Palmer - 44/10, great as a sub, average from the start. And I won't even mention the report that said Rice offered nothing going forward ..... !!
I bet Manchester United are really regretting letting Gomes go, he looks far superior to Mainoo.

The BBC Breakfast sports presenter, the one who looks like Eddie Munster, was inferring that 'snal's defeat was kismet for their dark arts football. Where do they get this bull from?

How do they describe Manchester City's winner, "reward for their meticulous cheating?"
Manchester City have apparently set the longest unbeaten run in the Champions League, 26 games, if we ignore the game they lost last season, which would mean they are only three games unbeaten. Why are defeats on penalties not included or is it just yet another Sky Sports stat designed to make Manchester City look "perfect"? They have, with no figure tampering, set the record for the most charges of cheating a football club has ever received, now that's a proper stat.

Cherry-picked stat. There's a stat to back up any claim if you dig deep enough.
Two seasons ago, even last season, if Arsenal were 2-1 up at home to Liverpool, or any other team, they'd go or a third. This season they don't, they settle for what they have and it's not working. Protecting a one goal lead when Saliba hasn't started, Gabriel and Timber have been substituted, it's never going to work. Our fast flowing football has gone, Arsenal look over coached, too predicable, this is a big season for Arteta, as well as he's done so far, making Arsenal "challengers" is no longer enough, he needs to win the league. Our first eleven is a match for any team but losing just one player and we become so defensive, starting Partey at right back is an insult to Lewis Skelley and Kiwior, Partey is not a right back - he showed that. Again some bizarre decisions from the ref, Taylor is meant to be the best available but he lets van Dijk get away with kicking Havertz, twice, off the ball, every Arsenal free kick is delayed by either Diaz or Curtis kicking the ball away, he then books Raya for taking too long over a goal kick - where's the consistency?? Diaz in particular, on two occasions at least, either kicked or walked away with the ball without Taylor saying a word. As for the third goal, where's the free kick?? Nobody in the stadium saw a foul, not even the Liverpool team, they played on, Arsenal scored. Only then does anybody realise Taylor has given a free kick, bizarre. Arteta and Arsenal need to regain that attacking fluency or this season will end up like the previous two, close, but nothing ...

After hearing Dermot Gallagher's comment, "Arsenal weren't set, weren't ready to take a free kick so kicking the ball away didn't delay the free kick ......" it's easy to see why people think there's an anti Arsenal agenda. When Rice nudged the ball a yard awy Brighton weren't ready to take a free kick, when Trossard kicked the ball away half a second after the ref's whistle, Manchester City weren't ready to take a free kick, both were booked and sent off though, where's the difference??

Yes the officials getting mentioned again , I thought the most bizarre thing came from VAR taking so long to give an obvious goal to you.
As for the free kick where was the one where Gabrielle threw hmself to the floor against Nunez and ultimately paid the price by getting injured in the process.
First half Arsenal were good value for the lead , second half Liverpool mainly controlled the game, a game of two halves draw probably a fair result , I don't know where Lego head (Arteta) is coming from Arsenal deserved to win if it was based on the first half fair enough but he needs to play the game for two halves.
