Carsley promises attacking, free flowing ootball, then contradicts that by saying Kane will start. His international career is over, I don't care if he's on 99 caps, he offers absolutely nothing. No doubt Maguire will also start, a player Manchester United dropped against their biggest rivals, Liverpool.
Jamie O' Hara, that well known Arsenal hater - predicts some bloke, Madueke, who's had two half decent games with Chelsea will take Saka's place in the England team permanently. This after stating Palmer would take Saka's place. Every month he finds another player who will take Saka's place, every time an English player has a half decent game for his club, whatever position he plays, O' Hara predicts they'll take Saka's place. It's so boring, yes Jamie you played for Tottenham, you don't like Arsenal, GET OVER IT!!

I'm not sure about that. He offers an attacking threat. I can't even deny that. Loads of experience makes him a good pick for captain. He does score goals too.Lots of them. He seems to have got past his glass ankle phase and if he keeps scoring for England like he does, I'm good with that. But, in these two games, the standout player for me has to be Gordon. He has been an astonishing outlet down the left and I am so glad to see him in the starting lineup.

Southgate was the only Englishman who didn't want Gordon to start in the Euro's, it was bizarre. As for Kane, he scores in the games that don't matter - when he's in a semi final or final, he vanishes. Apart from Gordon, Angel Gomes looks good, he looks more comfortable then Mainoo.
Harry Kane ... I don't think he's the man to win England a tournament, he'll be a couple of years older next major tournament and I think England should be looking for a replacement now, same for Maguire, if his club don't pick him for their biggest games why do England keep picking him?!
And ... was Alexander Arnold really that good against Finland? Half of his passes were wayward, he gives the right wing no help at all so Saka has extra defensive responsibilities, if Alexander Arnold is to be given a "free" role then shouldn't he play in front of the defence and not be part of it?
Annnnd ... Declan Rice, h clearly hasn't recovered from the Euros, he's well belowe last season's form - it's bizarre Cole Palmer pulls out of the squad claiming "fatigue" whilst Saka and Rice, plus others, are expected to play every game, I wish the Arsenal players would start playing that game, "sorry Mr Carsley, I played half an hour at the Euros a month ago and I'm knackered mate, why not call up another Chelsea substitute to take my place?!"
Ten Hag will now give an interview proclaiming Manchester United as world class, the best attacking team in europe, he'll highlight the fact that they are the only Premier League team to win away so far today ....
