Folks, as you all know, my dear Mum died with Leukaemia this August.
I've been raising money for cancer charities for a long time, but now, it's personal. Deeply so. More than I can put into words.
Every year, the stables where I ride do a charity 10 mile horse ride - they've been doing it for 38 years and it's the oldest charity horse ride in the UK!! This year, the event falls on my Mum's birthday, the 20th of October - so on that day, to remember my beloved best friend and Mother, I will be saddling up and heading out, dressed as a pirate wench (complete with swearing parrot and inflatable cutlass), in the company of my fellow riders from Wimbledon Village Stables, riding out over Wimbledon Common (home of The Wombles and just round the corner from the famous tennis courts!) - all in the name of raising money for charity.
I will be providing photographic evidence, so please could you sponsor me HERE.
I can't think of a better way for me to honour and remember my dear Mum (she liked The Cure a lot, so she was One of Us), so if you could sling a few £££s, $$$s, ¥¥¥s or €€€s my way via the link, you will be helping The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to beat this terrible disease!! The research that they do could one day save your life or the life of a loved one, so this kind of fund-raising is essential.
Thank you!!

The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
i had two cases in my family, my dad in the year 2000 was saved in surgery in Milan, in a private Hospytal where he spent all the money he saved in a whole working life, had cutted half stomach and half esophagus. Spent a long year under chemotherapy, now he eats like a bird, but he have the life saved. last year my mum was operated for a cancer in the uterus and another bad year was spent in my family i know what you feel Linda, and you have all my appreciation.
Guys and girls, I'm doing the above-mentioned fancy dress charity horse ride this Sunday - if you hate cancer as much as I do, please donate some £££s HERE to help fund the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The reason why I fight cancer so hard, in any small way I can is because it has taken away loved ones of people who I love (that's you lot!!)
And now, it's taken from me the person I loved most in the world. The battle is now personal.
I would give up everything I have, everything I've ever done and everything else asked of me if I could bring our loved ones back. Everything, for all of them, for all of you.
But I can't. So I will tirelessly raise money for those who research and find treatments and cures. Till the day I bloody die, I will fight this bloody disease head on.
To those of you who sponsor me, THANK YOU!!!! Our money and my crazy antics will hopefully speed up the slap down of this HORRIBLE disease.
Thank you and much love,
