I'm not known for my cooking skills much beyond broiling a steak. They were talking about turducken on the football game. Yes, I have partaken of the sacred herb early today!
I made posole rojo for Thanksgiving today, in homage to my New Mexican roots. My grandma would make it at Christmas, although mine had more “from scratch” elements. Pork shoulder and ribs, homemade red chile sauce, and soaked/cooked posole (hominy).
Dessert was berry and passion fruit compote with floating islands of homemade meringue (thanks, Mr. K) topped with lemon zest.
