Weren't they also called themselves The Crawley Goat Band at some point?
He was in that band with his brother, sister & a few friends. I almost forgot about that. What a name Obelisk featured Robert, Dempsey & Lol & that was the one that evolved into The Cure eventually
well... because they will have been together for 43 years and 3IB came out in 1976...
No, 3IB was released in 1979, that's why I was confused!... and when TC actually begun is open to debate. Actually, in an interview (around 2005)? RS says for him the band started in '79 as that's when they released their first album and Simon joined (officially)...
Going use the positive vibes from Tim Pope's announcement to wish for even more music in 2018. If an album is too much to ask, I would like to put a request out to the universe for a release of all the unrecorded new songs that have been played live (It Can Never Be The Same, Step Into the Light, A Boy I Never Knew).
maybe not "Tim Pope related", but it would be more than great a BBC sessions boxset (like The Banshees one). And it's really necessary the old films (Staring, Orange, Show...) on bluray. The Rolling Stones are on this way: old concerts putting on Bluray, with really great image and sound.

Totally agree. Except for the stones bit. They always sounded awful.
