Just came home from an exhibition opening at the local danish museum KUNSTEN - the building is made by Alvar Aalto, the artist from Finland.
The exhibition is called the Twilight Zone, inspired by the television show, and by the feelings connected to the twilight zone - the transition from day to night...
It was an excellent exhibition btw!
BUT the IMPORTANT thing was that in the area where the free wine, the welcome speech, the ticketsale were, they played some music, and the playlist was apparently not coincidental, because they played THE HOLY HOUR!!!
I was so proud and happy!
Later we went to my favorite cafe to have a (vegan) burger, and it was FRIDAY, and the love was floating - if you know what I mean...

when in session for 6music bat for lashes’ natasha khan quotes the cure’s disintegration as of one of her favourite music to listen to, among bananarama’s cruel summer of course. 80s lover
Just released track by The Mountain Goats, whose Goths album a couple of years back namechecked Robert on the track Abandoned Flesh,a song about the plight of Gene Loves Jezebel no less and also featured tracks such as Andrew Eldritch Is Moving Back To Leeds and Wear Black.
This one though is about, well, getting high to the cure!

So there's this radio show on one of NRK's (Norwegian equivalent of the BBC) radio channels called Transmission (yes it's named after the Joy Division song) that focuses on eighties music, primarily eighties alternative/non-mainstream and The Cure show up there a lot. Today's episode was on the host's favourite post-punk drummers and Boris Williams got 4th place
(The complete list was: 5. Mel Gaynor 4. Boris Williams 3. Budgie 2. Stephen Morris 1. Pete de Freitas)
