LOL I actually had Might And Magic 2.... I never really got into it too much... I loved Ultima series! I played that all the time! But one of my old time favorite games came from Sierra... I played all Kings Quests, Space Quests, Police Quests, and yes I even did Leisure Suit Larry (lol)! I have cherished memories of having my neighbors over and we'd play all of them for hours on my Tandy 1000, my very first computer! And now 30 years later, I'm still gaming My favorite current games are Skyrim and The Sims 3!
This game is still a work in progress, looks interesting huh!?
Papers, please. A Dystopian Document Thriller. The communist state of Arstotzka has ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.
This is something between Blade Runner, Total Recall and staff people are doing in the consulate section of the embassies.

I saluted the series with King's Quest 8... It was already a little bit archaic at time (1998-1999)...

I miss the old graphic. don´t know if it is just because you are getting older, but computer games seemed to be much more fun thoose days. I didn´t have a computer, but my friends and the club I went to had. the good old amiga. favorite games was Carvup, Golden axe and one with a little boy with a sword (cannot remember the name)
The world is neither fair nor unfair - It's just us trying to feel that there's some sense in it

I agree. Everything was just more fun. As in music industry... People were there to be original and not always only to think about the money...

I'm sitting in a room over-looking a room full of game developers and the main thing I am noticing is that there are no women.
Why is this? Women are perfectly capable of being developers, coders, techies, etc, so why are there so few in the games industry? There are plenty of female artists, but not techies.
I wonder if there is a correlation between the ratio of male to female gamers and male to female game developers...
*has pondered this for the past few years*
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

One of my greatest heroines in the world of gaming and long time friend at FB is Petra Fröhlich (ex-Maueröder). She is Editor-In-Chief of PC Games, one of the leading magazines in Germany already for almost 15 years, and editor since the beginning of the PC Games in 1992. She is just universal-techno-mag! So, nice counter-example... de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petra_Fr%C3%B6hlich

Nice B!!! Actually L my first career choice was computer programming (specifically to develop games). I wish I had stuck with it but I was in fear of the math!!!! arrrggh
I have a fear of maths too. I am RUBBISH at it, my brain simply does not see patterns in numbers.
Totally and utterly RUBBISH x 1,000,000.3r.
Interestingly, I was fine doing formulae, etc in my acoustics class at college because I could visualise what the numbers meant: so if we were working out the reflective figures for a room (Sabin's formula, for those who are nuts enough to want to give it a go) with wood, stone, carpet, etc, etc, etc, I had something that the numbers related to and that therefore, made the maths slightly more understandable.
That said, I still can't add up my weekly grocery bill...

I always tend to say: Heroes of Might and Magic series is the best thing for developing of math ever!!!

Especially HoMM 3... Artificial Intelligence (At, loved that categorization ) is so good that if you miscalculate just a small factor - you are overrun!
