Hello. I'm a long time fan, the first album I bought 'the day it was released' was Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me but I'd been into the band for a couple of years previously.
I think I heard Pornography/Concert the cure live first and worked my way backwards through in the punky 3 Imaginary Boys direction first - remembering that this was of course all from people's mixtapes and scrounging money to buy albums etc. Then the other way through the poppier stuff until I really dropped off liking/seeking out new material with the release of Disintegration.
I still like some other things released since but my favourite album always has been 17 Seconds and although my musical taste has gone in hugely different directions in all the years since, I've always been able to find a place to listen to lots of the band's material and still regularly do.
I've been lucky enough to see them 5 times - Glastonbury, Crystal Palace Bowl, Wembley twice - but not in a long time, living in Australia now and the gigs selling out before I could snag a ticket.
Anyway, hello and nice to find a community of fans.
