Think I'll move this to the Faith board. I really liked Primary as a 7" length song. The 12" was one of the laziest extended mixes ever though. It's not even what I would describe as a "remix". It just loops passages for seemingly no other reason than to justify a 12" release. It loses its punch & It's actually quite boring. For me anyway. Would have been more value to it if they'd left it as is & just put a couple of extra tracks on the 12"

I'm with you steve, I now find it quite boring.. I remember when the Red Mix was out on the back of some single. That was good times.. That's a crazy as remix, but not the topic of this discussion, sorry gaijin!
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
It is a vinyl rip. And not a very clean one at that, not even off a mint copy. There is also a section in one channel that fades slightly for some moments. That is easily repaired though the clicks and surface noise are not
It is remastered though.
It would be so perfect If you would just fall out the window
Of some note too: the 7" does not seem to be available digitally except for on Staring At The Sea.
It doesn't appear in too many other places, but the version on the Now compilation and 4Play CD are lifted from the album master and have the fade from THH.

No worries, it's still on track.
I like the extended version. Never found it boring. It should have had a bonus track though. š

Paul at Burning The Ground did an immaculate rip a couple of years ago. Doesn't seem to be there any more though

I will extend this (no pun intended) to āI donāt like any extended version of any song The Cure has ever releasedā.

The BTG rip I have is not worth the time it took to write this reply. Check. It clips and distorts and has level variances all in the first minute.
Did he rip it twice?
