I've been playing this recently. I still enjoy it.
With the upcoming reissue of Paris I can't help feeling a little cheated that Concert has been forgotten.
As a personal project I recompiled some live tracks.
I subsequently added 4 live tracks found on The Top CD2 to Concert and made my own thing. Needed to goose the Concert tracks a little for continuity though.
I went a step further for Curiosity - I compiled all the soundboard recordings from the deluxe editions of Seventeen Seconds thru Pornography as well as A Forest/KAA from A Single. (I avoided the audience recordings on TIB and Pornography).
I appreciated Bob but including the live material on the Deluxe Editions, especially as it made the original Curiosity tracks available, but mixing home demos, studio outtakes and live material on the 2nd discs is not a fun listen I find.
So, I basically deconstructed the second CD of each remaster and did my own thing with the live tracks. Just for fun. 😅
It would be so perfect If you would just fall out the window
The whole thing with Concert though was that it was deliberately made to look & sound like a bootleg. Which is maybe why it's been passed over for any sort of tweaking. To be brutally honest Malcolm Beaton's audience recordings of the shows the tracks were taken from sound a lot more authentic & a lot more dynamic. & the "no overdubs" claim on the sleeve is a bit of a fib as Bob horsed up the intro to that particular version of A Forest. Yet on the release it's somehow perfect.

There are so many good soundboard recordings extant, I feel no need to acquire any room recordings.
When I was a teen Concert/Curiosty were the only live recordings I had until I bought Orange quite some later. It's essential to me, more so than anything issued after I left school, (except the BBC sessions).
Having no 3rd Disc for The Top was a bit of a grudge purchase, but this project has helped me get over that.

A fun little project might be collating all the recordings that make up the Concert and Curiosity collections as “reference material”…
Live Somewhere Summer /81 is a big obstacle I don't see the fanbase hurdling anytime soon, let alone The Rocket show. We'd need Ethan Hunt to raid Bob's man-cave.

I disagree. I listened to all the Wish-tour Lullaby renditions I have to see if Kilburn was the only time RS sang at the end "And every time I believe it, every time I believe it.", so it's not that big a stretch or feat.
Not that I'm going to do it anytime soon, mind you.....
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!

OK so was it?
Sorry, yes it was. Weird, hey?

Typically Robert, I'd say. Maybe one could use an AI to identify Somewhere else summer 81? A similarly odd assignment would be to identify what nights the Entreat songs are from. Closedown is not the same on + as on the original Entreat.
Anyway I already made a cd of Curiosity sourced from the remasters. It's a nice listen, I always thought.
