i can't prove it but it is (almost) finished.

Only person who can actually answer your questions (like 'why it hasn't been released yet?') is RS himself.

Question for you now :

without said anything about 'Alone' ~ 'Endsong' which are obviously the first and last songs of the record and propably the best moments in it.

Ouh yes you are right 'Another Happy Birthday' is in as well.

So we've been left with three more or four not have heard before yet.

final steps have been left and that is because Bob wants it to be as perfect as it can get.

They are doing some improvisations during live versions,pretty sure you have noticed it.

you mesn like the second pt of '4:13' the '4:14 which is finished some ten years ago?

There isn't any other album,only the new long awaited and then some demos.

Ouh yes and his solo one...maybe...in next life though.

And no I do not mean the 4:13 leftovers or this solo album. Just listen to this interview at time code 1:58 minute:

And by the way I loved or liked every new song so far. So I am looking forward to the new album and hope the songs will sound great on it.

So they played/promoted the new record once it had been released (February 2000)

Now there isn't a record to promote once it hasn't been released yet except from interview words,eventually it will see the light of day at some point.

Actually the set back then (especially European leg) was a dark one with no more than two pop hits in it.

I think your problem is the 'Greatest Hits' selection of Bob nowdays rather than if he/they perform Another Happy Birthday or A Fragile Thing.

Come on,accept it,you are afraid of being disappointed from the new tracks in whole.

And so does he maybe so they play safe like they are doing Festivals which in fact that is what they are doing at those live events,LatAm Festivals they are taking part at rathen than their unique Tour to promote a new album.

It's not bad but you see...

...they are running out of time like the rest of us.

By they way .nostalgia isn't a bad thing ,bad is that i can't see a better future and i'm not talking about our boys neither the new album but that is another thing i'm afraid.

And i'm pretty sure i will like the new album no matter what.Already like the songs i've listened so far.

I even defend WMS which most people don't like it at all or rate it like the worst Cure record,there isn't any bad Cure record to be honest.

Weak? maybe i can accept that word but not bad.

They don't play / perform so often in this land of Earth so i guess he chose the setlists to make everybody happy at the end with well known songs rather than to listen new stuff never heard before.

Also it seems like WE in Europe Territory prefer mostly the dark stuff from the past (A Strange Day/The Drowning Man) rather than let's say (Why Can't I Be You ? or high) , right?

Anyway. All good.

One show left.

Year is ending,new one is approaching and so does the record

Then again i'm not sure if another one (second) exists.

He says so but you can't be sure with our Uncle Bob.

As long as he can sing and perform live i'm fine though.

The lack of new songs during this leg of the tour is probably mainly because of the gigs being at festivals and not standalone Cure-Shows. I remember Robert saying (a couple of years ago) they adapt their sets on festivals to the fact that a significant part of the people who come to listen are not necessarily Cure-Fans and would have not bought a ticket for a standalone Cure-Concert.

By the way listening and watching to the excellent Sao Paulo Show right now again. Still no sign of a complete video-recording of the Paraguay-Show?

I think you're spot on there.
Some of these places they have never been to either.
A combination of festival sets & country debuts has almost certainly played a part in the set list choices.
