The new album will be no more than 10 songs no less than 9. They have until now performed live 5 of them? or maybe 6? So you know, more or less you have already understand how the new one (album) will sound and in it's final format/version.No need for them to perform any of the rest new songs if you ask me.Reason for it not having been released yet has to do with Robert and only. Everything else is done. Producer, running time, sleeve art etc.He will decide the release date.
Actually we still have absolutely no idea if the production and mixing of the upcoming album has been really completely finished, due to Robert´s resistance to give any update. He only confirmed in an interview that the other (more upbeat) album has been completely finished.

i can't prove it but it is (almost) finished.
i mean 'Songs Of A Lost World'
Only person who can actually answer your questions (like 'why it hasn't been released yet?') is RS himself.
Question for you now :
without said anything about 'Alone' ~ 'Endsong' which are obviously the first and last songs of the record and propably the best moments in it.
Do you really like : Nothing Is Forever - A Fragile Thing - I Can Never Say Goodbye
?!
Ouh yes you are right 'Another Happy Birthday' is in as well.
So we've been left with three more or four not have heard before yet.

I strongly doubt mixing and production are done.
final steps have been left and that is because Bob wants it to be as perfect as it can get.
They are doing some improvisations during live versions, pretty sure you have noticed it.

other upbeat album?
you mesn like the second pt of '4:13' the '4:14 which is finished some ten years ago?
Ha!
There isn't any other album, only the new long awaited and then some demos.
Ouh yes and his solo one...maybe...in next life though.

Oh figie, please. There was plenty of talk about this other existing album. And no I do not mean the 4:13 leftovers or this solo album. Just listen to this interview at time code 1:58 minute:
And by the way I loved or liked every new song so far. So I am looking forward to the new album and hope the songs will sound great on it.
I was at that concert. Probably the best concert of my life. They did 7 songs out of BF, so what's your point there?
Of course they did.
7/9 or 7/10 if you live in Japan (their version included Coming Up)
So they played/promoted the new record once it had been released (February 2000)
Now there isn't a record to promote once it hasn't been released yet except from interview words, eventually it will see the light of day at some point.
Also check the setlist
half of the dark album 4/8
4 from his masterpiece, with no hit single in it
And that's because of the connection (Trilogy) according to his words of the three albums
Porno/Disi/Blood
And take a look at the rest songs
Same ones as they do play 20 years now (with only exception The Snakepit)
Backbone of their setlist (main or encore set)
are
PFT/A Forest - Green Sea - Days/Heaven,the best track from WMS (call me WANT)
and last but not least The Old School encore.
Actually the set back then (especially European leg) was a dark one with no more than two pop hits in it.
I think your problem is the 'Greatest Hits' selection of Bob nowdays rather than if he/they perform Another Happy Birthday or A Fragile Thing.
Come on,accept it,you are afraid of being disappointed from the new tracks in whole.
And so does he maybe so they play safe like they are doing Festivals which in fact that is what they are doing at those live events,LatAm Festivals they are taking part at rathen than their unique Tour to promote a new album.
It's not bad but you see...
...they are running out of time like the rest of us.
By they way .nostalgia isn't a bad thing ,bad is that i can't see a better future and i'm not talking about our boys neither the new album but that is another thing i'm afraid.

my friend,i have already listened our Bob,plenty of times believe me
:-)
And i'm pretty sure i will like the new album no matter what.Already like the songs i've listened so far.
I even defend WMS which most people don't like it at all or rate it like the worst Cure record, there isn't any bad Cure record to be honest.
They also skipped another of the new songs in LATM "I Can Never Say Goodbye“ that has been played frequently on the previous shows of the Lost World (after it premiered in Krakow).
Edit: I see you were referring to the main set and "I can never say Goodbye" was played during the encores.....but still a difference.
On this leg of the tour they played only half of the new songs they had premiered (they also dropped Another Happy Birthday).
I was only pointing out that if they play 5 Disintegration songs, 5 Head on the Door songs and only 3 of the songs of the supposedly upcoming new album, then still calling it a Lost World Tour is misleading.
I can clearly understand what you are sayin' / mean
And it is right and true BUT there is a but
They don't play / perform so often in this land of Earth so i guess he chose the setlists to make everybody happy at the end with well known songs rather than to listen new stuff never heard before.
Also it seems like WE in Europe Territory prefer mostly the dark stuff from the past (A Strange Day/The Drowning Man) rather than let's say (Why Can't I Be You ? or high) , right?
Anyway. All good.
One show left.
Year is ending, new one is approaching and so does the record

You assume a lot about me and it looks like you haven't got the point of my previous posts.

The lack of new songs during this leg of the tour is probably mainly because of the gigs being at festivals and not standalone Cure-Shows. I remember Robert saying (a couple of years ago) they adapt their sets on festivals to the fact that a significant part of the people who come to listen are not necessarily Cure-Fans and would have not bought a ticket for a standalone Cure-Concert.
By the way listening and watching to the excellent Sao Paulo Show right now again. Still no sign of a complete video-recording of the Paraguay-Show?

I think you're spot on there. Some of these places they have never been to either. A combination of festival sets & country debuts has almost certainly played a part in the set list choices.
