GW3 is upon us already. Doesn’t time fly? Chelsea’s accountants have dialled back their spending…for the moment &, despite securing Ceicedo & Lavia to shore up their rickety midfield, it looks like Liverpool may have got the better option in Endo. At least he didn’t conceded a penalty. As for the main event, 523 points saw the BB&S take the week taking a 143 point lead at this early stage. Mav787’s DynaMo Salah snatched the Yellow Jersey & the Big Shout Out, topping the table with 68 points. We had a 2 way draw in the H2H with the BB&S & IGM neck & neck on 18 points each as Mav787/s DynaMo Salah made it a clean sweep to take the Crown. Fixtures this week……
25 Aug 2023 Chelsea v Luton
26 Aug 2023 Bournemouth v Tottenham Arsenal v Fulham Brentford v Crystal Palace Everton v Wolves Man Utd v Nottm Forest Brighton v West Ham
27 Aug 2023 Burnley v Aston Villa Sheff Utd v Man City Newcastle v Liverpool
I’m tipping Newcastle v Liverpool to be one not to miss.
So the shed survived last night’s thunderstorm, but the seating in the VIP suite didn’t fare so well. So please either bring a chair, stool, large bucket or similar to sit on to watch this week’s action. Let’s do this thing!
I told you the Newcastle v Liverpool would be worth a watch. The end of that game was crazy. The wide open transfer window slams shut tomorrow at midnight, so expect a few more hastily signed newbies over the next few hours. Plenty more whining going on about the properly enforced rules for stoppage time & punishments for dissent etc abound. Including TV networks who are worried it will horse up their schedules & a few high profile managers & players who don’t seem to realise it’s their own antics that contribute to all this “added” time. But I digress. In the world of FPL, Haaland pretty well forked over most of the managers this weekend who all let out a whimper as his penalty cannoned off the post. It comes as no surprise then that this was a fairly low scoring week. But we still have to have a winner….or do we? The classic resulted in a 2 way tie between the EIB & the BB&S on 450 points each. The
spends a second week with Mav787 ’s DynaMo Salah While the
goes the way of Antarctic Thistle who mustered a very respectable 70 points for the week. The standings
It was the IGM who swept the H2H week with 19 points snatching top spot from the BB&S. The
returns to Mort ’s Expected Toulouse who top the H2H table once again. The standings
GW4 marks the last GW before the international break where a handful of players will end up getting injured, so keep an eye on those yellow, orange & red flags. Now it’s over to emilystrange at Heartland
