20 minutes into the podcast and so far, I haven’t heard any new or interesting perspectives on the band or albums.
What I did hear at about the 19 minute mark was one of them saying women (or “girls” as he puts it) are more into the “fashion” of music when discussing bands. 🤮
Even though whomever said that is a giant LOSER I will finish listening with an open mind.

Yeah, that was a bit cringe-worthy. Also not knowing how the term "shoegaze" came about was a bit lame. I just watched the video. It's a bit long but quite interesting to see his panel choosing their top 3 The Cure albums & why they like them.

I started to watch the video but then decided to listen to the podcast first. Made it about seven minutes in and will finish later.
Yes, re: shoegaze. Was that the author speaking? If so, my interpretation is that since he's supposed to me a "metal guy" (secretly has a huge Yanni collection) he couldn't let on that he knew where the term came from because his balls would suddenly fall off.

Hehehe! Yeah, kinda douchey. And the fact that they are claiming that the Cure wouldn't have been as big without MTV just rubs me wrong.
Also, he should have hired doczaius to do the artwork for the cover of the book, it's pretty yawnfest... it could have been sooo much better.

This was actually really good. I like the different backgrounds/tastes of the various panel reviewers and that they each bring different interesting points of view about the music of each of the albums they picked. Thanks for posting the link steve, after listening to the original podcast, I really wouldn't have dug any deeper.
