It’s easy to think that Minneapolis is just a very small version of Apolis. But you’d be very wrong.
Not only has the lost city of Apolis never been found, there are some doubts as to whether or not it ever really existed.
Our intrepid instrumentalists cover another 914 miles (1.016million standard billiard cues) to reach the city of lakes.
Many years ago, the Minneapolonians, bored of swimming in their 17 lakes, embarked on a game changing endeavour.
They had struggled for decades to grow apples that were even borderline nice. They made for poor pies, crappy crumbles & the candy apples at halloween really sucked.
So the town’s boffins boffins started an intensive breeding program. They spent months trying to get golden delicious apples to mate with various other species in an attempt to create the perfect fruit. Try as they might, the apples didn’t seem to be attracted to each other in the slightest. Until one day a researcher in the university, still half cut from a particularly heavy nerd night out successfully paired honey with crisps. Lo & behold the ultimate apple was born.
The university research department sort of let this got to their heads a bit & in a failed bid to create the ideal baking product in 1984, a student poured Miracle Grow onto local legend the Pillsbury Doughboy which ended in near disaster when the resulting abomination went rogue & terrorised New York.
With disaster averted the faculty was shut down & residents reverted to much safer activities such as drawing their dogs, playing weird guitars & hosting cat video festivals.
With calm restored, fans can stroll confidently into the city as they head to fill up on a Juicy Lucy paired with a Forest Of Bones before having what we hope is a wonderful show.
Keeping it simple for this one.
