Our son was in the wedding and sat in the front row. During the ceremony the sound of the Dungeons and Dragons D20 die from his pocket hitting the floor resonated through the hall. Nothing better defines knowing the sound of your child as a parent.
Did the DJ play Bob Seger at the reception? Yup yup, best not to get too loaded at a wedding, especially when family is involved ! Glad you guys had a good time.
btw - the incident with your son made me Lol. 😊
Here are the ‘fruits’ of my labour! Thinking of making strawberry jam and some strawberry shortcake. Mmm. I only have two ice cream buckets full tho.

Looking at restaurants at Disney World. I have really mixed feelings about it, but I'm overwhelmingly excited we have booked a Disney vacation for 2022.

I’ve actually been to Disney World a few times as an adult and had fun. If I were to rank the four theme parks I’d say that my favourite is Animal Kingdom, then Hollywood Studios (there’s a Star Wars themed land) followed by Epcot and then Magic Kingdom. One highlight was the animation class I participated in at Animal Kingdom- we drew Simba from the Lion King.
I really think a Disney World vacation is almost a ‘right of passage’ for American children, so I think it’s cool that you’re bringing your kiddo there.

Yup,...I gotta a gree..as an English ex activist...now, I wouldn't take my kids to Macs or KFC..that's just teaching them myopic Western cruel stupididty.*..but Disneyland..well..there's a hell of Zen in Disney writing. The art..oh boy it's astonsishing..the writers and artists themselves...abslolute lunatic antisocial mavericks - Yeah...there's gotta be something great in taking the kids to that place.
*Edit..and if as an adult any of you lot choose these places, of course, your choice..just..to think of these places as ways to occupy childrens' time..no no no..bad idea..if you want a burger go for it, if you're planning on a fun day out with the kids..maybe the woods?. Maybe archery? Or Disneyland?)

If you can swing it you should try & do at least a day at Universal. Not the studio tour part but the rides part. They have some excellent rides (some might say better than Disney) such as the Harry Potter extravaganza, Transformers, Despicible Me (where would we be without the Minions?) & Jurrasic Park. I bet you know a little boy that would like at least some of this!
