Today we arrive in the City of Angels for the first of three nights at the bowl with its iconic dome-shaped proscenium where Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & Pluto(who was downgraded from a planet to a cartoon dog) put on an unforgettable show in 1932 to celebrate emerging from the world of black & white & into the realm of glorious technicolor.
Of the many angels that reside in the city, by far the most famous is the fallen one. Yes, flamboyant night club owner, tickler of ivories & police consultant, Lucifer Morningstar has devoted his life to making sure the criminal element get their just deserts as he works alongside detective Chloe Decker (formerly Leslie Shay until a building fell on her) to make up the most feared crime solving duo since Batman & Robin.
If you like traffic, you’re going to love Los Angeles. It’s been totted up and the result is that 5 days per year is spent by the average person in traffic affording kids in the back seats ample chance to play endless games of I Spy With My Little Eye interspersed with queries on journey progress.
Let’s hope fiveswinglive & olivier don’t get too snarled up en route as they make a beeline to the nearest purveyor of Califonia Rolls for a slap up meal washed down with some Funk Yeah before heading out for what we hope is an amazing show.
