I’m certain that with all your qualifications and experience you’ll find something soon! As my mom always says, “it’s not just any job, it’s the right one that you want”.
I’ve actually decided (w/ Mr) that I’ll put off my search for now and focus on holding down the home front. I’m also going to pick up a volunteer application for the local no-kill shelter. There’s always the possibility of leveraging some administrative volunteer work into a paid position somewhere, should I want to.
The past few years (since the start of the pandemic) have been ultra stressful and I am finally feeling physically better than I have in years since I stopped manual labor. Going to continue to recover, for which I’m grateful. I just have to feel a purpose…
Volunteering is a great way to do something different and get out and meet new people. I volunteer at my local library and I've met so many interesting people that I would not have met otherwise. Defintitely stretched the borders of possible career pivots for me too.
I’m so flippin’ disappointed. Sigh. I guess there’s always next year.
I'm really sorry to hear that, Danielle . Disappointment sucks.
Thank you! I’m just being a big baby! In the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal, it’s just sports! That said, ugh I was hoping for a better result.

I'm aware that the Cure Community is an inappropriate platform to air any political issues. But as community, that represents the outer fringes of acceptable society, that has a common voice that transverses the 4 corners of the globe (inc Canada), can we show a united front, stand in solidarity and shout as loud as we can "No burger should be served in a poncy brioche bun"!

The last time a Canadian team won the cup was in 1993. This sobering fact makes me wonder whether I will get to see a Canadian team win the blasted championship in my adulthood…

So close...
that’s what kills me! Edmonton came back and won three in a row and forced game seven just to lose 2-1. Blast! Happy for the winning coach though, he earned the win. He coached my team (Winnipeg) for years, so a lot of us have a soft spot for him.
On hold for 70 minutes now trying to file a complaint against a dr. who told me not to drink Gatorade to rehydrate after food poisoning b/c it's too sugary and "you're already sweet enough." Seems ludicrous. Punching him in the face would have been so much easier/
