People do a LOT of online shopping. We are the nice neighbors everyone seems to ask to bring their packages in when they go away. Just got a request this morning. I am making the sender sweat a little by not responding quickly. I will say, "Yes, we can bring in your packages!" because I like them and they're good neighbors. But if people KNOW they are going to be away for a week, why don't they not order stuff for a while? We end up with a stack of boxes that is unbelievable.
People need to stop dressing cats and dogs up in xmas jumpers and stupid hats. Or any clothing really. Idiots!
In general I agree. But... some pets feel comfy in their outfits and they look so cute in them so if they wear them for a short while it won't hurt, I guess. Nevertheless, I didn't buy reindeer horns for the cats.
The other thing are winter outfits. At least some dogs really need clothes. Over here the majority walks out dressed in cold weather. Sometimes it's really touching when they're not clothings from pet shops but hand-made sweaters and jackets. It's so precious that owners care so much.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
National Express are taking the piss, a coach to London and back usually costs around £25, now there's a train strike on the coach costs the same as the train, £38 - plus £6 to reserve a seat!
I think I say this every year, but wow I cannot believe that another year is almost behind us. Seriously, it feels like it was 1999 only yesterday, and here we are wrapping up 2022! Time is really flying.

£6 to reserve a seat on a coach? Do they pack them full like sardines now and make a load stand?
There should be a mandatory winter driving course for all drivers in this province. Honestly, it’s often terrifying to drive in the winter here. I was almost rammed into earlier today by someone who lost control of their vehicle at an intersection.

It's the same here but maybe a bit worse as it doesn't snow or ice up often. I have AWD & do fine but it's the other idiots that are the problem. They don't seem to get that braking principles are different on snow & ice. During the ice storm on Friday, I didn't leave the house as it was really bad out. One of my friends tried to walk across his driveway, fell & broke his wrist so badly that he needs surgery. I fall a lot without adding ice to it. I had bought a bunch of food which now has spoiled because my freezer quit working yesterday & by the time I figured out there was a problem it was too later.
