Honestly, I was right there with you until I heard that the Cleveland show was in early June. There must've been delays in the announcement itself, because anymore a major tour seems to give at least a six month lead time. Regardless, good news all around!

Yes, for the 2016 shows tickets went on sale in October IIRC. That was six months out from the NY shows.

Give the uncertainty of the last 3 years, it’s just as well to wait as long as possible, I guess. All that flexibility we’ve been practicing.

?? And they were right!

When I posted about the Cleveland date on Wednesday night, it wasn't a rumor at that point... I got the info from a radio station friend who had the announcement in-hand. I assume that's how leaks happen.

For me good news all around would be if they announced the new album release date and this was not in the Month of Never... :-)

Thanks, the rumours had piled up so much and were so specific it felt 95% certain. Chain of Flowers highlighted it. The sources on Twitter - they were coming from such random people on Twitter, not Fans but people enjoying knowing a secret. The only thing less certain was the Thursday bit.
