I've cheated obviously but try and resist the urge to point out some regional gig from 1983 is missing. You don't have to have seen them, obviously, cos we're all young'uns.
But what were the absolute standout wonder tours? The ones you'll never forget or the ones you'd sell kidney to have gone to.
Prayer tour is number one. Also put '90 in because it's like a continuation. And they played Lament! After that we would have to go back to 1982, there's no other way. Being at one of those shows in a small venue must've been crazy.
Great poll but 3 choices ain't enough! I wanted to choose a few more like Dream tour 2000 for the intense 3 hours of Bloodflowers, dark album cuts and only a few singles.
82 The Pornography tour....Lolsibob trio at their absolute peak and dark intensity. A Short Term Effect, Splintered in her head and Pornography sound amazing live 84 The Top Tour....possibly the greatest line up with the late great Andy Anderson's mighty drums. Cure Concert possibly their best sounding live recording. 87 Kissing Tour....ok maybe this is the greatest line up with a six man wall of sound, the best setlists, kicking off gigs with 9 straight kmkmkm songs.
I tend to prefer the album tours with setlists based around those album tracks.

Prayer Tour first, can it be something else? Then I choose 87 for the gigantism, Finally 1992, last great tour, before Cooper takes the drum and plays too much with hi-hat & cymbals....
Surprised myself with my choices, couple of obvious ones but was really tempted with the Summercure 2012 shows. Mainly cos of Reeves. Anyway, settled on the 2014 Top shows rather than the festival dates cos those setlists were insane and the line up was still fresh and tight.
