Coming back to modern day That London, it’s typical these days that people don’t speak to each other. Ever. Even making eye-contact is frowned upon.
This is in case some holier-than-thou social justice warrior, or worse, Chelsea fan, thinks you’re making a stand for or against something they fundamentally disagree with. Because someone of farcebook told them to.
This isn’t the case in Albert Square however as centuries of the old ways are kept alive by the likes of people like Sonia & Shirley and also Stuart & Rainie. Jean Slater even practices both talking & making eye contact in the mirror so as not to lose touch with That London’s rich, but forgotten heritage of never shutting the hell up.
It’s an art-form known as bunnying or rabbiting from the Cockney folk song by Chas & Dave.
Another stark difference between modern & ancient That London is the waterways. The Thames has become a haven for stoned eels due to the alarming amounts of cocaine making its way into the sewers & polluting the river. Whereas Walford canal is something akin to a Lazarus Pool famously resurrecting Den Watts who had been shot & dumped into the mythical waters in 1989 only to return to life in 2003, fully revived by the holy canal water of the East end of That London.
Miracles abound, come xmas time, the time of miracles & joy, the East end bucks that trend as all will be revealed in episode 3 of That London…
Meanwhile cdm22 , czuczu , bubbo , paulwUK , snoopy , hellboy , Mr & Mrs pussycat , maccatori , Mort , bloodflowers78 , carlfandango , renny , olivier , godwina , yassoo , madbobrjs , lolb , paulwUK & unstuck will tuck into some pie & mash and sup some That London Porter before converging on the OVO for what we hope is another fantastic show
