I'd like to ask you which song you find better - Friday or Just Like Heaven? For me it's JLH. I'm curious your opinions.
My once best friend some thirty years ago,who was a big fan of the band at the time, used to say all the time that 'Just Like Heaven' is the best pop/rock single ever written by any band. It took me some years to understand him but yes,he was right.
p.s. : not that i don't like Friday Song,which i do like it,a lot.
Am I a freak that I’m much more about the music than the lyrics? Lyrics are very secondary to me…
I have never pay attention (or too much attention) to lyrics. I’m not english. Mostmofmthe time I don’t even know what are they saying, or I don’t get the meaning. If I like the song, I don’t care if the lyrics are good or bad. Anyway, generally speaking, If I want to read, I grab a book.
On first listening it's the music. I then listen to or read the lyrics & then listen to the whole deal
Haven't not read what were the setliss since Riga and not watched the videos of the new songs, it made a very pleasant evening. The last three songs of the main set sounded very weird, as if the keyboard, bass, and guitars were not playing on the same key or something, something was out of tune...

Cool, cool! I completely understand this. I do enjoy reading the lyrics, but what appeals to me most is the music and the sound of the voice singing.
I went to the gig last night and I must say the band were absolutely superb. It was really great to hear a few of the new tracks and had the added bonus of 4 tracks from pornography. My only disappointment was no Figurehead or Charlotte Sometimes. I really hope they play one or both at Wembley. Lyon is also a beautiful city well worth a visit. Back home now to the U.K.
