justlikeheaven as to joining this forum, i was a bit undecided. the first person who told me about it was nathaniel on twitter (keep forgetting his name on here, sorry!).i looked and joined summer 2015 but did not know what to do as i had never used forums before, and twitter was my first social media accounte ever! took me a while BUT i learnt that steve was admin, and also he was one of my first twitter contacts, as a) he listens and posts about 6music b) love the cure! i then felt safe to open up a bit on here and just write down as carelessly as i only did into the wide open, wonderfully anonymous and often unnoticed twitter universe
so with the 2016 tour things got much better for me as suddenly there was an actual reason to meet here and talk about, something going on in the present cure world. i even set my alarm to join in following those US gigs, madness haha .. and could not do that anymore, sleep has become very precious, but thankfully they are in europe at the moment ( sorry for everybody fighting with the time zones, pips, danielle and all pthers!). so over all these years i got really attached to this community, even if inbetween i am not here much, for everyday twitter is just more my thing, quick and inbetween. in teen days i could convince my then best friend becoming a cure fan and we went to many gigs together. also, in 1989 (yes, i am that old!) i put up an ad in the cure news looking for penpals, the analigue days! it was a faith quote… and i am still friends with one of the persons writing to me. in fact he is my longest fellow cure fan, but in belgium. so no true cure fans next door herebut a few people who occasionally listen to them.
in short, it’s lovely to be here and have all of you, digital or in real life! thank you 😘
I understand that it is easier to be there in times of touring, I too was not here much in between, but I always thought of you all and this community whenever anything Cure related happened, and I think that's how we know that this is something real, when even without seeing each other, or talking with each other in a long time, we never forget us, and when we talk again, nothing has changed, it is as if we last talked the day before
