The first was From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea, because even with the bad wheather, there was some sea green color in the ocean that made me think of the lyrics of this song. The other thing was "above a raging sea" from Just Like Heaven, as the waves became stronger.
I find it funny how Cure songs are present in moments of our lives, both big and smalls, and you always find another way to relate them to this experiences you have, without even looking for it. It just happends naturally and it's a thing that happens with Cure songs more than any other ones.
how wonderful you could do this! finally after such a long time. i love the see, ocean, water.. and understand totally what you mean. today i went swimming and “beach of stones” and “swimming the same deep water” just popped up in my mind like out of nowhere. it’s like all these words and fragments have become part of our dna over the years.
hoping you can enjoy the sea now, and more often, as i genuinely believe the view of this infinity is good for the soul, healing and reassuring that we are, and if only a tiny, part of something greater.
I don't think that I can go there often, as it is still and hour and half away from me and I must take the highway to get there (which I struggle with, as it is new to me), but today, doing a road trip with my friends, I learned that I'm able do it, from time to time, and it is so worth it. And I took lots of pictures, including some videos of the waves crashing on the shore, to remind me of this experience whenever I need it
