Thanks for telling me! I’m in the market for a new phone, and may have to ask him which make/ model he has.
It's just a Samsung Galaxy but it's just about waiting for everyone else to put their phones down and also zooming in just enough but not too much. Also, I'm taller than 95% of people in my way :-)
I guess there are no recordings of the 2 new songs played during the soundcheck, right? But is there anyone here who heard them and can give some kind of description? Thanks I advance!

And whether one of these two new songs was also sound checked at Leipzig or are they two previously unsoundchecked new songs?
steve : thank you so much for your work. All the information about the cities. I really don't have an idea, how it's possible to do that huge amount of adminthings besides building a house. Do you ever need to sleep? I was a bit sad for you that they did DTU yesterday. It should have been a special present for you in Budapest.
Thank you for the kind words. In fairness, the other big hands do help with the threads & social media. Without them I'd be a bit burnt out by now. & yes. I do need to sleep sometimes. I can't be around every show for the updates. Tried that during LatAm & made myself quite ill.

I can't stop thinking about last night's event. The boys were amazing, the energy in the stadium was electrifying, no better yet , mesmerizing and even addictive. Maybe it's just me and the love for our band. Maybe I become infatuated with the thought that this feeling should never end. I don't know why I am feeling this way. I won't take away from the other show and compare them for they in their right had something unique to offer to me. Thinking about this now I have a feeling that this is how it feels to listen them back to back to back..again and again and again. I will never get bored and sway to listen to them- at least this is what my life has led me to. I also think that these concerts are addictive. Addictive enough to have Mary Jane hum and sang Kyoto from the moment she woke up to the moment she got on the plane. She only remains quiet now as she is sleeping dreaming of "kyoto-
I try to think To make it slow If only here is where I go If this is real I have to see I turn on fire And next to me… It looks good! It tastes like nothing on earth It looks good! It tells me how it feels to be new .
The sound in Holympichalle was perfect. Even the echo that resonated in the enclosed venues, the drums, guitar sounds and Robert's voice were epic.
I was a bit worried that the sound may have been a bit too much for my dinosaur phone but just listening to the live stream proved otherwise.
To Gita and paulwUK- thank you so much for meeting with me and Mary. You make these events feel even better.
steve thanks for the write up. Love how you drive this ship. It was fun meeting the block down the pub. To the rest of you that I didn't get a chance to meet in Minuch I'm sure there will be other opportunities. Even better if they have one on my side of the world. If you decide to come- you all welcome to stay at my place. I'm sure there will be a few more concerts left-we just need a Little Faith+
Just listened to last night’s wonderful rendition of Disintegration. Almost as good as the Krakow one.
Regarding the topic you were discussing yesterday. I’ve always seen Prayers for Rain, The Same Deep Water As You, and Disintegration as some kind of unit. A 3-movement piece that together makes a whole, a perfect whole. I can’t disassociate those three songs and always think of the other two when I’m listening to one of them. If any of them is missing, I feel it is incomplete. Those three songs together are one of the most powerful moments in Cure’s catalogue, IMHO. I know they are three different songs, but I just don’t see it that way. The sequence of the three are, for me, the best part of the album by far.

I've always thought Disintegration is an album with a sort of "false floor": the title track is like a natural end-of-the-album song, but then there's Homesick and Untitled, where the album actually ends. It's like it has this extra section at the end, which is soft and melancholic after the big climax of the title track.

I just finished reading the thread and I'm still in shock that I missed this show... I even saw the Twilight Sad picture at the football match yesterday that my mother showed me, and was thinking "oh it's nice that they have a day off ! Can't wait for the show tomorrow !"... silly me lol.
Anyway, WOW, what a show. I had to double check when I read the setlist and soundcheck, because I couldn't believe my eyes... This is crazy, they really have some surprises up their sleeves that we have no idea of... yet. It's so exciting to follow a Cure show, no matter how near or far away. I love it.
Thanks to fiveswinglive for the livestream, you are a legend and I can't wait to watch it tonight !
Thanks to wilgy and paulwUK for the pictures, they are superbs and it is wonderful to get differents perspectives on the songs !
Thanks to steve for the intro and for being the force that drive this thread. You know that it wouldn't be the same without you and we appreciate very much what you do ! See, they played Doing The Unstuck just for you
Thanks to all of you, my Cure friends, for giving life to those threads with your comments and GIFs, I giggle every time I read you It is really team work, this community and I love it !
And of course, thanks to The Cure for being such a source of joy and emotions, and for surprising us along the way. They're the best band and they show it every single time.
Now, tomorrow I have a road trip and will drive to the highway for the first time, so I'm a little nervous, but I know it's gonna be okay. And tomorrow night I will be on my phone to follow the show with you all. Until then, have a good night and a good day !
