That's weird (and unwanted) - I never got any mails from them, but must add that I don't use the app on a phone (but Android simulator / browser on pc instead).

That's probably why. It got almost instagraph annoying with the alerts at one point. I never asked to be alerted & yet I got them. I don't mind if it's accounts I follow, but it was everything. Have shut them all down now. But the help team emails me at least three times a week to ask if their last advice helped & can they do anything else.
