I think I said it earlier in the thread but isn't it the techs who generally do the soundcheck?

You´re right, the techs played the "new songs", one thing, the person that reported said he heard vocals, for sure his voice tone isnt similar to Robert´s, so if he heard a new tune and unknown lyrics, it was a safe bet to say its a new one.

Very special evening. With very special Setlist. We change our stand from the left side in the front to the central back of the pitch. It was interesting to watch the people who only knows a few hits they are waiting for. Many of them are really borrowing specialy during the second block.
My highlight in Leipzig, The Drowning Man. Amazing!

I remember that the band, and Robert in particular, seemed to have technical difficulties on that evening. On some songs he had to fight quite a bit with his guitar. I'll be listening to the show again soon. But you've probably already discussed that.

At 37 seconds Roberts attempts a Simon(esque) backward skip. Simon sees it coming and blocks him with a double hip swing.
At 53 seconds Reeves puts his arm over Simon's shoulder to re-assure him whispering 'Let him have his moment.'
As Simon drifts to the right of the stage he is dis-orientated by Roger's swishing hair.
At 1 min 28 seconds Robert seizes the opportunity and performs a double backward bounce.
Simon escapes from Roger's hair. Reeves comes to meet him. At 1 min 50 sec Simon asks 'Did I miss anything?'
'Nah mate!' Reeves replies, 'Do that standing on the PA looking moodily into the crowd thing. They love that!'

Clearly, you are gifted in interpretation, sandgrounder!

I can’t read lips, but this is what I think may be going on:
Either A) Simon and Reeves are aware Robert’s pants have split and they’re trying to figure out how to keep him from turning around to save the audience and Robert’s remaining dignity
Or, 2) They are challenging one another to fart really badly on stage and see if they can cause Robert to lose focus.

Roger is too mature for all that and is trying to recall which cream rinse he used on his hair this morning. Jason is holding it all together and looking forward to using the hotel pool.

Did Reeves do the obscene Italian chin flicking gesture to Simon?
