Indeed. If there's one thing I've learned this year, after a good friend dying back in Feb and another being diagnosed with MS this week, turning 41 myself, watching my folks getting old, etc, etc, etc is that life is too f***ing short.
Go out, have fun, be silly, but most of all, never loose sight of how important friends and family are.
They may one day not be there for you to tell them how much they mean to you.
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I had this conversation with my colleagues during lunch today. If you could choose 3 skills to have in real life what would you choose? Even though most of the conversation ended up with a discussion of what could be categorized as a skill and what could not, some ideas came up:
ability to love, being musical, good at manipulating other people. mine are the two first, I still haven´t found the last one.......
