No secret that Lando is the Mrs' favorite driver, so there was much celebration in the Weedy home yesterday! Seems like a good kid. Happy for him finally getting over that hump. And that he ended up, what?... Seven seconds clear of Max? Wild. A three-way battle between RB, Ferrari, and McLaren would be fun.
So what are we thinking with regards to Newey… will he sit out a season or two, work on RB’s hypercar, or somehow end up at a rival on the grid (Ferrari or Aston Martin)?

Last I read was that he was being wooed by Ferrari

I'm just kind of stunned that there is no good spot for Carlos at this point. If I were Lawrence Stroll, I'd boot Lance off the grid and partner Carlos with Alonzo at Aston Martin. And thrown all kinds of money at Newey.
But Newey has said he regrets never getting to work with Hamilton or Ferrari, so that it probably his likely landing spot.

If I were in charge at Ferrari I'd keep Sainz & cut Leclerc loose. Leclerc was billed as the second coming and has been pretty much a let down. Daddy won't drop Lance. He'll spend every last penny to try to get him on the podium. But he could afford Newey. However, Newey this weekend said that he didn't really need to work to live anymore. He's 65 so the promise of an extraordinary comfortable retirement is going to be very tempting

Oh, I'm with you a 100% regarding Leclerc... I would take Carlos over Leclerc any day of the week!
And you're absolutely right... there is no way Daddy cuts Lance loose. I was just saying what I'd do if it was my team.
