I feel that they don't often get enough love really. They're pretty much revered by some big names in music and have even had various Ramones members guest for them live. Which, if you're a young artist who idolises Ramones, must be a massive buzz. I've heard them described as childish on occasion. But they still make some of the most joyful & fun music ever & on their own terms.
I saw them back way back when they were getting booked on Nirvana bills - they were good but a bit of a one-trick pony. Flying Jelly Attack is a tune though.
I listened to their Ramones tribute record a week or 2 ago. Quite good.
Give Rock Animals & Happy Hour a go
Ya. I've liked them since way back in the grunge days. Kurt Cobain used to plug them in a lot of interviews. I saw them once on the small stage @ Lollapalooza (the year Nick Cave, Beastie Boys & George Clinton played) & after that in a small club. Fun band.
