He's been released from hospital but may have to go back in at some point. It was a small heart attack, but may be also a GI problem with possible internal bleeding. He's pretty scared at the moment & won't be around for a bit.
Thanks to all. Luckily it was a minor heart attack, no surgery needed. I'm not out of the woods yet though. I have some very nasty tests coming either the end of this week or start of next. Trying to recharge but I was 5 days in a hospital bed & haven't been able to eat the past week. Im exhausted, so I won't be able to post much in the short term. Appreciate all the notes of support.
Glad to see you Chuck! Now pls behave yourself and rest up! Sounds like you have a number of gruelling days up ahead, so you’ll need all your strength.

Today marks the 29th anniversary of the beginning of my curse in regards to trying to see the Cure. This lasted until 2016 when I saw 2 shows. There were a bunch of different things that happened every time they came to town but this one was the worst. In 1992 I was at the height of my powers in the Seattle music biz. I worked as a music buyer for a large chain in the NW USA & was a sales reporter for Billboard magazine. As such, I got comped pretty heavy on a lot of things. On this occasion I was excited to finally see the Cure. I had killer seats, backstage passes, the works. That day I got a call at work. My mom had been seriously ill for a week or 2 & I was told that she had taken a turn for the worse & didn't have long. I jumped in my car but didn't make it to the hospital in time. Needless to say, I didn't go to the show. I ended up giving the tickets to my gf at the time & she went with her brother. So, this is always a sad date for me. I cant' believe it has been 29 years! To top it off, I have to do a barbaric prep for some hospital procedures tomorrow. This is the second try to hopefully figure out what is the cause of the issue that put me in the hospital a month ago. The first try, the prep made me violently ill & the procedures couldn't be done as my vital signs weren't good. So this time they gave me an alternate prep which turned out to not be covered by my insurance despite the circumstances. My cost = $400. Ouch! This whole "adventure" is getting close to $1000 out of pocket all told for things the insurance doesn't cover. Fingers crossed that the results aren't too serious but they very well could be. I won't know the results until next week. In the meantime, I'm going to have 2 pieces of toast for breakfast which is the last real food I'm allowed until tomorrow afternoon. Thankfully the weather has coooled off back to normal summer time levels. Definitely 1 of those days it sucks to be me.
