OK, first you have to imagine that Wish will actually appear one day.
And then remember they didn't do a Deluxe for Concert although I think all the Curiosities appeared on the appropriate albums for their tours?
But, I think Show and Paris warrant the deluxe treatment - they could either be bundled as single deluxe or preferably both could be expanded.
Show has the obvious 5 tracks from the film + the tracks that didn't make the cut from the 2 nights and was shot in 35mm so a decent Blu release is very possible.
And Paris would be so enticing if they added a second London disc to really round out the tour as a proper archive release:
The Big Hand Shake Dog Shake Hot Hot Hot!!! Forever Three Imaginary Boys 10.15 Saturday Night Killing An Arab Faith Foxy Lady The Kiss The Drowning Man The Same Deep Water As You Pornography
Not in this order, that would be mad! And I suspect there's more than 80 mins there.
But it would sell better than a picture disc release and warrants it from a historic peak lineup release. It really doesn't detract from the existing line up in any way.
Both ideas are nice & it would definitely sell better than any ridiculous picture disc. But I would keep Paris as Paris & not toss a London selection in. Alternatively, just release a London live album to compliment Paris & leave Paris as it is.
I agree with steve, if they make a Paris Deluxe edition, why add London stuff? I never understand this kind of thing! You have a cd called Paris! Paris! Why put London stuff! Why oh why czuczu don't you choose from the Paris setlists? And yes, if you want an extra cd from London, that's great! Will you put some Barcelona's show songs on the Deluxe edition of the London cd? It's not against you czuczu, really don't take it bad!, but I always wonder how on earth the world can go right when I read that can of thing! for my information, what's the contrary in english to the expression 'make my day'?)

I dunno! Just thinking out loud cos nothing else is going on and I listened to an Olympia show today If they did full sets from Paris then there's far too much duplication of Show. No-one needs that. And cos I was thinking about how do you expand those releases to make them deluxe? They expanded Mixed Up by doing something different and complimentary in Torn Down rather than more of the same. London would be different and complimentary to Paris without the duplication - lots of tour rarities from a multi-night stop at a single venue. Why not Barcelona? Cos there's nothing unique about that show. London had all the remaining songs from Paris that aren't already released and more that weren't played in Paris. Could stick a whole bunch of rarities onto an extra Show disc but Show already has the film.
To be honest wouldn't even have to be a physical release, Disintegration had it's own alternative rarities.
But there's scope to do some kind of expanded live deluxe reissue based on the existing Show and Paris albums which would leave more space on Wish for the extensive demos we know about.
Won't happen, just wishing (Pun certainly intended)
Last time people had this conversation was before the re-release of disintegration. We got the disappointing entreat+ and still to this day no show/paris deluxe. I hope this time they would at least respect the live drum sound as heard on audience recordings and not tame that down.
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain So hit me with music, hit me with music
I would settle for a Blu-ray of Show with both nights on there. Paris doesn't need to be "Messed Up". I mean given the Entreat-treatment.
The audio for Show would need to be attended to though. It's shocking
Agreed, but I'm worried it'll be made worse. In any case, this is why I almost always prefer good bootlegs to "professionally" mixed shows. I want the real feeling of being there in a sense.
