What do you mean by uploading to itunes? I use itunes from time to time bu have never known of an upload feature. I have all my music files on a HDD and use itunes to play them or sync my iprod which is still infinitely better than listening to music on a phone.
Not sure what the changes are but I thought itunes was getting switched for the apple music app.
If I were you, i'd just not update itunes until you know more.
