Really liked that article. So what would some of us Cureheads in this thread call the greatest album ever made I wonder?
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
It's the best NIN album by far.
SOTT is always in my ever changing top 5 and is sounding better every year that passes. Diamond Dogs, It Takes A Nation Of Millions, Ritual De Lo Habitual, Live At The Apollo, Hounds Of Love, Weld, Surfer Rosa - they're all up there somewhere

Ya, my list evolves but there is a short list. SOTT is probably my favorite Prince record, Of course, Disintegration is right up there for me too. The Fragile has been on top for a few years now though. Trent was definitely staring into the abyss on that one, even more so than the Downward Spiral. & it's almost all him except for a few well placed cameos.
^^^^^PS: another of my all time faves is getting the deluxe treatment next month: Wilco - Summerteeth. Jeff Tweedy's Brian Wilson record. I'm even going to pony up for the cd on that. 4 disc set. More info on link below. The big sell for me is the 2 disc show. Word is it's a real good one. Looking forward to the remix/master too. No label agendas to make them something they weren't now.
It seems RS and Prince had something in common besides both being great composers/musicians:
He would show up at a photo shoot wearing what you would think was the stage outfit, and that would be his street clothing. There was no difference. Most artists have a stage persona, but he was looking like that in his house when no one else was around.
I believe the same can be said of RS re: his appearance. It's not a matter of a stage persona for either, but how they truly feel comfortable in their own skin. Let your freak flag fly, I say.
This is how you do a top-end reissue, 2 shows, tons of unreleased tracks, Bsides, remixes and beautifully packaged. Easily tops the 1999 and PR reissues. Starting with the the NYE show, had the circulating 2nd half for years but easing in gently

I went with the deluxe version (versus the super deluxe) for both 1999 and SOTT. Fantastic releases! And nice to have the super deluxe content available via streaming services.
These releases are top notch! Some of the very best!
