He was pretty much untouchable until Graffiti Bridge and everything he released had at least one classic on it. The SOTT tour being cancelled was such a massive miss
My all time fav gigs were the ONA and Musicology tours - completely different tone and styles but both powerhouses.

I saw him several times starting with the Purple Rain tour. Including 1 club show in Vegas. That was funk party at Prince's house. He was never less than stunning in the shows I saw.

I saw an earlier show of the Nude tour in the Tokyo film. We were sat side of stage facing the piano keys. There was a moment late in the show when he was playing a guitar solo, he ran towards us, slinging the guitar over his back and leapt onto the top of the piano from the far end. Ended up lying face down on top, playing the piano solo upside down and literally laughing at our faces
