Bit of personal history - I worked for Alan Sugar in the 80s, originally on the 086/286/386 lines but moved across to satellite receivers just before the Sky/BSB boom.
From that point on, I was head of satellite testing for the UK - you'll never guess what I watched all day long for a living

I have fond memories of having the video recorder on rec/pause while watching endlessly & then taping things I really liked. I had hundreds of recordings with the first 20 seconds missing off them
