Like any form of art, it won't appeal to everyone (if it did, it would be pop music!). Taken objectively, though, I think he is quite a talented composer. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions...

I really enjoy his music. I like a wide variety of music though and I especially like to support him and other members of The Cure, so I might like music from current and former members of The Cure a little more.
