1) I’ve been receiving emails from friends I’ve lost touch with over the years! It’s been great catching up with these people and such a nice, heart-warming surprise to hear from these old friends
2) I discovered that I absolutely love teleworking! I love wearing my robe all day and not having to brush my hair. Yes I’m lazy, but it’s been oh so delightful!
3) I’ve been cooking a whole lot more, and have discovered that I’m a pretty decent cook.
Will you all please fork off home. This was all completely deserted a week ago. We now have a police helicopter constantly overhead to go with the idiots.
IORR site has shut down COVID-19 thread. It was very good but people just couldn't be civil. Turned into political mayhem. Some of us suspect there were a few Russian 'bots in play, too.
If there is a huge spike, the question from the Left will be why was it decided to open up now. If there isn't a huge spike, people on the Right will ask why we had the lockdown. Politically, there is no unifying path out of this now in the U.S.
I think it's a testament to the folks on this site that we have been able to have some political comments sneak through but still remain respectful. And kudos to the admins for ensuring things stay civil around here.
I think the thanks goes to you lot really. The situation is one that none of us have ever faced before &, hopefully, never again. It's very emotive & those pesky politics tend to sneak in as many country's responses are, for some bizarre reason, given a political figurehead to present each day. Where I live we have the surgeon general do the updates. You know, a health expert. I am really glad that we haven't had to face what you're describing on IORR Chuck, but that is all down to all of you. In all honesty, we haven't had to delete a single post from this thread. That says it all I think. We still do get nervous when a new Star Wars film comes out though

Everyone is behaving because one of the side effects of 5G is passivity.
Admission - I’ve chickened out and cancelled my flight home. Looks like another 25 hour drive home. 😳 why oh why is this cursed country so &&$$?@ large ?
Happy to see that WDW canceled reservations the second week of June, which is consistent with how they’ve been rolling out cancellations week by week. While I know my son is anxious to get back to work, I would be thrilled if WDW didn’t attempt a park reopening at all in June. So long as his unemployment keeps rolling in and he’s healthy and safe, I don’t want my kid in danger.
That’s not to say that I believe WDW won’t open next month. Of course they will.
I would guess that the people who are (willfully or otherwise) ignorant of the danger and insist on going to the parks will result in disappointment at best and a sh!tshow at worst. For example, I would think character meet and greets will either be nonexistent or of a very different nature from what they once were. People (patriots?) without masks could lead to belligerence. Guests will expect discounts for this scaled back/altered magical experience.
I'm guessing the model will have to be almost of a “locals only” nature initially with hotels on property closed.

Could you imagine what’ll feel like wearing a mask in the Florida heat?? I’ve been to Florida a number of times in the summer, and I just cannot imagine wearing one for longer than one to two hours...
