Yeah mine has the finger print thingy too. It is a little picky. If my finger is wet or cold sometimes I have to use the back up password
They let you customise everything, icons, colour schemes, screen transitions etc etc I use Nova Launcher. Sony Xperias are wondrous but Sony icons are ghastly!! My icons are now all grey on a black background.

Haha. I've only just figured out how to open the secret developers options. I sped all the animation transitions there. But this phone has a massive screen so a pretty launcher may do it justice
I raise your massive screen with an Ultra HD screen!!
A launcher lets you do other stuff, tap the screen to open apps/widgets, swipe up or down to open other apps/widgets etc ..... lets you customise everything, almost.
