My colleagues have Windows8 and what i find strange that it has these let me say these apps like on a smart phone, okay you can change it to the Windows7 design. See pic below

Of course, D. You can erase metro start screen for good. Plus there is always desktop button. Tiles are indeed made mainly for touch-screen users, but with time you can make it just fine...

CG my new iPad (OK, it's not new new, I bought it off a pal who'd upgraded)
I held off buying a tablet because I didn't think I need one: I have Ye Olde PowerBooke (which is fine-ish for emailing and internet) and the iPhone (which has given me eye strain and a squint)
Why on earth would I need an iPad???
