Yep, indeed. It has to be like this, of course, but I kinda miss that old anarchy that could appear suddenly at any gig (not necessarily The Cure ones). Less show, more music.

But such closely planned set lists aren't anything new. Again, it's the price they and also we pay for such great gigs in terms of visuals and also sound, for big shows. Maybe in a much smaller venue, at an intimate gig many of us dream about it could be found some room for improvising. And yes, that would be more than beautiful.

On the other hand they really play incredibly and the music we get at those big gigs is perfect. They're not only fireworks shows to please the audience.

I'd love we could have both, big and smaller gigs. Everyone would be happy then.

True, I don't know why they play to a click track. Unless backing tapes are being used? Ain't good for improvisation. They couldn't do A Forest like on show with it speeding up (one of the best versions imo)

I'd love to sneakedly change that 2 to a 6 on the disintegration tempo, getting it up to a 165 Bpm entreat

I like, that there is a lot of music, and not so much “show”.
I think the lads in the Cure are musicians to the bone, and want to play as much as pissible during their given time on stage.

Glad you enjoyed the photos etc and kudos to the other live reporters.

I had a fantastic time. It's really not a big deal taking a few pictures etc, if it means you guys can enjoy it remotely. What goes around comes around and this is what this community is all about.

Also remember that the gig is not just the music, but the meet-ups beforehand, meeting new people in the bars, and then of course getting pretty hammered in the bar afterwards ;-)

Dublin was a bad weekend for me (nothing relate to the actual gig), but I can assure you I had a blast these 3 days and can't recommend Bucharest enough!

Will be working on my audio recording tomorrow so fingers crossed i get it out quickly so you can enjoy it.

I'm so happy we all found each other at the end of the night too! I couldn't convince my friend to go into the city the night before, so I was sad to miss out on the meet up. But there's always next time!!

I also want to shout out pillowman, who is a most excellent person to find yourself near at a show! Loved that we were just chatting and then discovered we're community members here :-*

The show was spectacular, and the band really seemed to enjoy themselves. Seeing their joy playing to us fills my dark heart with desperately needed warmth
