Firenze, or Florence to the rest of us, was established long before The Machine came along to give her that extra spark that resulted in the magnificent 2009 debut, Lungs. The capital of Tuscany is probably most famous for being the former stomping ground of renowned Chianti drinker & psychopath, Hanibal Lecter who liked nothing more than having old friends for dinner.
Being one of the top 15 fashion capitals of the world probably led to Roman centurions being kitted out in leather mini-dresses, sandals & a hat with a brush on top (although bloke down the pub wouldn't fully commit to that).
There are (sort of) Goth connections too as the Ostogoth (the ones with really long necks) Empire ruled for a little bit during the late 5th to mid 6th century.
Since then it has been governed by no less that 14 different gangs (not counting that lot in WWII) & has one of the longest wikipedia pages I’ve ever seen.
& get this! Florence has a fountain shaped like a pig with a really shiny nose. How cool is that?
In attendance this evening will be bubbo , snuffybear , picturesofyou , fabio71 , faith , janie1015 , andy , strangedayz & biffo after wolfing down the last of their crostini with a couple of bottles of Peroni & maybe even a cheeky little grappa. So let’s all wish them all a terrific show tonight.

The city’s coat of arms is decidedly red & white so, to get some gold in the mix, I’m trying for the ACF Fiorentina crest. But without the purple or you won’t be able to read it.
So get your pizzas & socks ready (don't forget which of those goes in the oven ) & strap in for tonight's event

yuck..........nice warm but coolish 63 F here and raining, again. Hello everyone!! I could do without the socks today. What are the odds they skip it? Yeah, I know not so good. I wish they would put Babble in it's place! That is a stunner live!!
