I was hoping for a bit more from the setlist - at least a Disintegration encore with Homesick and Untitled. Fingers crossed they keep mixing it up throughout the summer. Good to see 39 sticking around a bit after it's 2016 reintroduction and I've always liked Wendy Time
I was thinking the same as far as the Pacman reference. The Cure followers being the one percent.
Evening all, sadly I smashed my phone on Friday night so was unable to join in the fun online ... Anyway I'm now back home with an old phone from 2015 or so set up, feels so primitive, how did we all cope back then??? Anyway it was a great night and an ace kickoff to the 2019 Summer Cure season! That setlist last night is still doing my head in! The world has turned upside down πππ. Would love to join you all tonight and see how it all pans out but apparently I am supposed to have missed my husband and have to be nice to him tonight π so will check in later! The sound last night was fine by the way

Really enjoyed the show! Robert seemed in a great mood. I never would have guessed that opening sequence of songs. The sound wasn't the best where I was (by the mixing desk) but it got a lot better as the evening went on. My personal highlight was Just One Kiss which sounded awesome. I never thought I'd get to hear that one live. Last Dance was another favourite. It really sounded good even though Robert missed the opening line. Loved 39 and really appreciated the return of 100 years. No gig should be without it, IMO. It sort of works as a closer but it's not ideal, I would say. Wendy Time was a nice surprise. Not a favourite of mine but nice to see the band delve into their back catalogue. I had hoped for a new song, but never mind. The encore was expectedly poppy but Doing The Unstuck was another surprise. I really like that song. The crowd was ok but nothing compared to my last show at Hyde Park. Sort of went very quickly from somewhat reserved to too drunk to function, pretty much skipping the happy-fun part in the middle. All in all great show. Bring on Oslo!
I started the morning brewing some coffee, then I searched yt for this show. I was astonished to see a full show already up. So I danced through Shake Dog Shake, Burn, and From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea.
For anyone who follows the setlists that the band has determined over many decades (four now), the setlist order was something of a shock and a delight. How amazing to hear songs that were only played near the end of shows.
And of course, Shake Dog Shake is the ultimate show opener. Somehow it never sounds right as an encore.
Peace. And congratulations to those who heard this show live.
I burped my newborn daughter and danced with her as they played the fourth song, A Night Like This. Happiness is hearing the band I've listening to since 1990, while holding new life. May she hear The Cure echo down through the years...
