We went to see the 2023 Oscar nominated live action shorts on Thursday night. It was amazing because all of the films were quite "adult" in nature and we had made no promises to the spawn about any of it being something he'd enjoy. It was just a night out to see some great short films and he seemed to really appreciate it (he enjoys making his own films). It gave me a taste of all the amazing things we'll be able to enjoy together as his tastes continue to mature.
Last night it was Mr. K's pick for family movie night. He chose the 1988 film "The Bear", which he'd seen before, but we hadn't. The best parts were the bear fever dreams and trip scene.
Some time ago I refreshed Unfaithful (2002), the movie I really like. Although it's not a masterpiece, Diane Lane is absolutely phenomenal, so true as a woman crazed with sensual love.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
Today the teams have been tasked to cook a zero waste meal. They have 2 bins each. One for organic waste (for composting) & one for tin cans, plastic etc. I jokingly said, before they started, that they'd have to eat all the peel & offcuts so as not to produce excess waste & that's exactly what they're doing. The pro chefs are even ordering the team members to eat/ drink anything that's edible.

Years ago I had a guinea pig for this purpose. He used to climb to the bin and hunt every tasty piece of a peel

Last night we watched Navalny, one of the nominated feature length docs. Highly recommend!

I worked on two projects that are streaming right now. Both of them handmade :-) this is on Netflix. (maybe doesn't count as "currently watching" but I want to give it a bump...)
It would be so perfect if you would just fall out the window
This is the other one. I worked on Season 2 of Undone but this is the trailer for S1 because I'm betting a lot of people haven't seen it and there are spoilers in S2. Some super-talented artists worked on this and it's a short watch.
Also
I'd love to do something in this style with Cure songs. Would be amazing.
