Yeah, here's the problem with trying to play the, "It's so hard to interview people!" card in the case of Carrie Keagan, though: if you're going to flipping interview people at least do the minimum research and preparation required to ask semi intelligent and thought provoking questions!!!!
And yes, I fully acknowledge artists can be a$$hats when being interviewed. When I interviewed William Rieflin of Ministry / Pigface at age 19 he scared the cr@p out of me by being so rude and then threw a joint at me (oh so charming and "bad boy", eh?). I was really trying to do a good job and be thoughtful.
Carrie K was such an idiot! It could have gone so much better had she 1) actually been focused on the people she was interviewing rather than being focused on kissing them with a loud "Mwah!" each time and displaying her boundless, perky and approachable energy and 2) actually had interesting and relevant questions to ask. I' have been snarky, too. She didn't display an ounce of genuine personality or respect.
See, there's a difference between being a mannequin and being a good interviewer.
i met William Rieflin when he was with REM. Private show (awesome!). He was nice. Older & calmed down from Ministry days. All sorts of shenanigans with those guys.
Once upon a time back in 2006 THE CURE played a concert at the RAH
i went all the way to the stage during 'A FOREST'
and at the end of the song while the band left for backstage RS came back and gave me
his plectrum.Still have got it
p.s. : ouzo helped a lot to be honest
There's not much I wouldn't do for one of Robert's picks....
easy thing, join their next coming gig go front row have some talk with the security guy, then go front of the stage between him and Simon do some clap and then just wait for him to give it to you ,not by asking but because he had just saw what you actually did,end of the story
