First on the moaning list, obviously the 'over production'
Wasn´t the moaning on the last two albums quite the opposite? They did not record every instrument separate but did live recordings with the whole band as Robert wanted to sound the songs more "raw" and get them a bit of a live feeling. Sounds like the opposite of over production to me?
@ steve
Does the new logo on social media tie in with the alleged album artwork that you saw on instagram a couple of days ago (I did not see it by myself)?

What I saw had the same logo as the tour merch etc. The typeface for the album tracks was very plain and not like the new logo or any past The Cure typeface I've seen before. It almost looked homemade. It was also very colourful. Not at all like the new graphic we've all seen today
Profile pic and header have been changed on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and a registration page now up on thecure.com Could something FINALLY be happening?!
Their webmaster, if they have one, is a "genius": if you access the site from the homepage, you can't do anything other than sign up for email notifications.
Apparently a big overhaul is in progress and deep URLs are 404ing.
I can only guess they don't care about SEO and retaining their rankings in search engines... :-)
But yes, something is boiling...

my one penny thought is that RS is a completist (if this the right word to use) So like the picture discs and the live (re-issues) everything on his mind has to be clean and in a full circle mode. Even if the label circle seemed to end back with 'join the dots' But i believe THIS one (last album) will be the FULL 'full circle' of the band with it's first record company. With or Without Parry this time around. But that is just my guess.
