Just sharing : I'm slowly making my way around the record and it seems I don't get the track sequence (yet ?)
To each his own I guess, so I prefer listening to Alone and Endsong with nothing else in between. Nothing / Fragile / Warsong / Goodbye / All I ever work well for me as another sequence. And after a few attemps, I must admit I do not click to drone:no drone.
Nothing / Fragile / Goodbye are IMHO much more interesting in their studio version compared to the 2022 gigs one. And I'm really glad about that ! Though, for me, the real emotional ones are (only) Alone and Endsong.
When hearing the Last Dance rendition during their recent bbc session, I had goosebumps, and this after having played that song countless times. It's still working its magic on me (like most of Disintegration tracks are).
I hope but am unsure to get those same feelings in some times/years with SOALW - except for Alone and Endsong which are always spinning around in my head since I 1st heard them 2 years ago.
Don't get me wrong : I really like the album and am glad it's out in the (lost) world. And I play it everyday. But, to love it is a step higher for me.

But i believe you have to admit (for one more time) that all in all it is a very welcome back album.I dare to say it is a classic even if it is too soon to say so but it feels like it is.
(Even if it can't surpass Disintegration actually nothing can surpass their MasterPiece.

I found the track listing hard to get use to on the first play but it's gelled for me now. I think it was after hearing the live versions and suddenly hearing the new tracks.

Yes, I totally agree with the very welcome back album ! 👍 And it is a really consistent body of work ! It really is.
hey steve , something i just noticed I've become a SOALW member while i was a 4:13 member until last night Something wrong?! I mean with the album sleeves upon my 'high' image (avatar they call it or something anyway?)
