Release date could be RS birthday just like the old days

Given the fact Robert, Reeves, and Roger have all spoken about the imminence of a new album, just like Santa Claus, I believe.

Roger and Reeves have been around RS long enough to know not to mouth off about projects on their own, I'm confident. And the man himself has now sounded off. I certainly believe it's his full intention to complete and release a new album ASAP.

Where it may get tricky is in the mixing, mastering, blah, blah, blah. We know RS is (thankfully) a perfectionist control freak (love you, Robert) when it comes to his music, as it should be. Some times I'd imagine unforeseen things can come up which would cause delays.

It will happen, we just need to be patient.

I do believe it although it will probably be later than March (just because it always is). The big question, of course is if it's going to be any good. I found 4:13 and TC patchy at best. Hoping that they will go in the direction of It Will Never Be The Same rather than Step Into The Light.

Either way it's exciting that they're finally releasing some new music.

I saw them do "Step Into the Light" live & thought it was very good. "Never Be the Same" is most likely the better of the 2 but think both would be worth of inclusion on the new record.

Ok back on topic. In this interview Roger states that they will be going into the studio in February. So that makes a release before the summer unlikely (but not impossible). He also mentions North and South American shows next autumn.

Yes it would make it unlikely especially as the festival tour starts March 15th in south africa.

But then Bob said they are going in the studio in February to "finish" the album.
So maybe the album is already almost complete just missing some lyrics?
In that case, there should be a good chance of it being released before the summer rather than they are going into the studio to start a new album from scratch.
