Those last two words in the Bio is what’s getting me most excited….
The Cure once again signed to Fiction Records for the much anticipated November 1st release of Songs Of A Lost World... and then...
I just take it as a hint to a possible new tour, but I don't want to curb your enthusiasm on that one 🙂
Me too - can’t wait! I need them to do at least one more tour because I have one child left who’s never come to see The Cure with me, so I can’t leave her out! 🥰
8 songs, whatever the total running time, is too short, i don't like that. I wonder what it means that 8 tracks is for the first version, I don't believe that they've already planned next year they will release a first anniversary version with extra tracks.

Perhaps Perry has nothing to do with the studio versions of the songs from the new album
but he is an active member on stage, you will find out in the new coming event.
He got no mention on the official store as well as long as it has to do with the credits of this specific record (SOALW) maybe because the tracks have been recorded back in 2022 before he re-joined the band for once more.
So, I've listened to Alone a few times now, out loud and on headphones and I have to say I'm underwhelmed. It was glorious live, this version is missing something, it seems muffled - like Underneath The Stars, superb live but just okay as a studio track. The "first new song in sixteen years" lustre has already faded for me.
It is pretty compressed. I am hoping the blu ray audio will have a lot more air around it. But, as it stands, I think it's utterly glorious. I have seen a lot of Disintegration references as a comparison but I'm not getting that. Sounds sod all like Disintegration. Or Bloodflowers. It's as dark as Faith but with a lot more flesh on the bones
Alone And Nothing Is Forever Vanishingsong A Fragile Thing I Can Never Say Goodbye Feather In The Waves Moonsong Another (Happy) Birthday No Care Endsong
So there are quite a few song songs there
That's 10, is the 8-songs-only theory false, then? I hope so...
The album was going to be ten songs in total.
He said so, last time he gave an interview,i can clearly remember his words.
Truth is that while i was having a look at amazon uk site earlier if someone wants to get the album as an mp3 version it mentions it like an eight tracks album...
Then again i reminded myself about Bloodflowers back in 2000
Europe got a 9 songs in total
while Japan (and US? not sure about it) got a ten track album
Coming Up was the extra one.
Might it be the same case in here?
8 in Europe
10 elsewhere?
Or maybe it is just me as usual.
But if you ask me (i know,i know nobody wants to ask me but i will give an answer anyway)
If two songs will be left out i think it will be the song/song
As Steve mentioned earlier too many song songs in it...

In an video interview with NME in the beginning of March 2022 (during the BandLab NME Awards), Robert said the album has got a running order and it has got 10 songs. In a later interview with NME (end of May 2022) he said "Essentially it´s a 12 track album"
